The 30-Second Take

A stone manor with real gardens is a rare thing in Northeast Ohio, and this one is well maintained rather than nostalgically neglected. The distance from Cleveland is the whole conversation.

What I Love

The garden geometry. Hedges and gravel paths give photographs structure that a lawn never will.

Before You Book

What I’d Want a Friend to Know Before Booking

It is thirty-five to fifty minutes from most of Cleveland depending on the hour. A meaningful number of your guests will treat that as a reason to leave early.

Ceremony

The formal garden is the ceremony site and it is excellent. Guest chairs sit on gravel; mention it to anyone in heels.

Reception

Tented or indoor depending on package. The tented option is the better room.

Food & Bar

Preferred caterer list, generally strong.

Photography & Visuals

Excellent all afternoon; the stone facade holds warm light beautifully.

Getting Ready

Two rooms inside the manor, both handsome and both small.

Staff & Coordination

Courteous and formal.

Vendor Experience

Good load-in, long walk from parking to the tent.

Guest Experience

Guests enjoy the property and comment on the drive.

Things Couples Probably Won’t Learn on the Tour

  1. 01

The gravel paths are difficult in heels for the entire evening.

  2. 02

Cell coverage on the grounds is poor.

  3. 03

The drive shortens the reception in practice, not on paper.

One Thing I'd Change

The lighting on the garden paths after dark.

Has It Changed?

Reviewed after a 2023 wedding.

My Recommendation

Worth the drive if the gardens matter to you and most of your guests are south of the city.
